WOMEN’S
HISTORY MONTH GLOBAL TOURS

MARCH 2026

Four one-of-a-kind tours from around the world that celebrate the women who made their mark and paved the way for others

  • TOUR:
Ljubljana, Slovenia: From Silent Votes to Equal Voices

Our narrative honors both the "invisible" labor of the past and high-profile victories of today. We'll pay tribute to working-class women, laundry workers and market vendors, whose grit sustained the city's economy for generations.

    ITINERARY:
Our tour begins at Republic Square, exploring the fascinating evolution of political agency for Slovenian women. While women first gained the right to vote in local elections in 1911, they were initially required to be accompanied by a man to cast their ballots. Today, Slovenia has achieved a perfect 50/50 gender balance in its European Parliament representation, a powerful shift from silent participants to influential leaders.

Walking through Ljubljana's historic streets, we'll uncover stories of pioneering women who defied the Austrian Empire's barriers. Learn about the Ursuline sisters who spearheaded female education three centuries ago, and Eleonora Jenko, who traveled to Saint Petersburg to study medicine when Slovenian universities were closed to women. We'll celebrate economic independence through Josefina Schumi, a 19th-century entrepreneur who successfully managed her own confectionery factory and navigated a rare divorce in 1880, proving women were carving professional legacies long before it was acceptable.

This legacy of resilience culminates in Slovenia's election of Nataša Pirc Musar as its first female president in 2022.

Discover Ljubljana as a living monument to the enduring spirit of women's empowerment.

  • TOUR:
London Westminster: Women Who Changed History

Discover the remarkable women who changed the course of British history. From ancient warrior queens to modern icons, this tour celebrates the courage, brilliance, and determination of women whose legacies endure.

    ITINERARY:
We'll begin with the story of Boudicca, the native Briton warrior queen who nearly defeated the mighty Roman army in 60 AD, leading one of the most significant uprisings against imperial rule. Our journey continues to the statue of Millicent Fawcett, the suffragist who led the non-violent campaign for women's voting rights, standing proudly in Parliament Square as the first woman honored with a statue there.

At Westminster Abbey, we'll learn about St. Elizabeth of Russia, one of Queen Victoria's granddaughters and one of the Abbey's "modern martyrs," who devoted her life to serving the poor. We'll visit the Women of World War II Memorial, honoring the vital contributions of over seven million women who served Britain during the war, and explore Trafalgar Square, historic site of powerful suffragette rallies that transformed a nation.

Our tour includes memorials to Nurse Edith Cavell, who saved lives on both sides during World War I and paid the ultimate price, and beloved author Agatha Christie, whose brilliant mysteries captivated the world. We'll conclude with a charming piece of street art depicting Princess Diana as Mary Poppins, a playful tribute to the People's Princess.

Discover the women who refused to be silenced and whose courage continues to inspire generations.

  • TOUR:
Washington, DC: Trailblazers of Capitol Hill

Step into the stories of the women who shaped American history on this walking tour of Capitol Hill. This live, outdoor journey takes you through the historic streets where activists, lawmakers, artists, and trailblazers fought for women's rights and left indelible marks on the nation’s laws, culture, and ongoing struggle for equality.

    ITINERARY:
Our tour begins at the Belmont-Paul Women's Equality National Monument, the former headquarters of the National Woman's Party and the birthplace of strategies that transformed women's political power in America. From this powerful starting point, we'll explore the surrounding area near the Supreme Court, the Library of Congress, and the U.S. Capitol.

Along the way, you'll discover the women memorialized in and around these iconic buildings and uncover contributions that have often been overlooked in traditional historical narratives. Your guide will share the sights, sounds, and atmosphere of the nation's capital as they unfold in real time, adjusting the pace as needed while bringing these powerful stories to life.

Through the legacies of suffragists, civil rights leaders, pioneering legislators, and cultural icons, this tour offers a richer, more inclusive view of American history. You'll witness how women have influenced the highest levels of government, challenged injustice, and continue to shape the democratic ideals that define the United States.

Discover Capitol Hill through the eyes of the women who refused to be invisible and whose courage continues to inspire change.

  • TOUR:
Lima: Peruvian Women Across the Ages

Discover Peru's history through the eyes of the women who shaped it and continue to transform it today.

From ancient priestesses to independence fighters to modern leaders, this tour celebrates the resilience, strength, and enduring impact of Peruvian women across the ages.

    ITINERARY:
Celebrate International Women's Day with an immersive journey exploring the crucial roles women have played throughout Peru's rich history. Join our local guide on a live walking tour through the vibrant streets of Lima or the artistic district of Barranco, discovering powerful stories from pre-Columbian queens to contemporary changemakers.

Delve into the lives of influential women in ancient Peruvian civilizations like the Moche and Inca, where women served as rulers, priestesses, skilled weavers, and essential pillars of these advanced societies. Their contributions shaped empires and left legacies that endure today.

Our journey contrasts this power with the darker colonial era, when many women were persecuted as "witches" by the Spanish Inquisition. Yet you'll also discover rebellious women who defied convention, including the "profeta piadosa" and Santa Rosa de Lima, Peru's first saint, who challenged societal expectations and left indelible marks on history.

Gain insights into the fascinating "tapadas," veiled women who wielded discreet but significant influence in Lima's viceregal society, navigating restrictions with intelligence and strategy. Learn about the vital role women played in Peru's struggle for independence and the formation of the republic, fighting alongside men and leading movements for freedom.
