Virtual Mixology Class FAQs
What is a virtual mixology class or virtual cocktail party?
A virtual mixology class is an online experience during which participants learn how to make cocktails from home with the guidance of a professional mixologist or bartender. The mixologist will show participants how to prepare and mix a specific cocktail, such as an Old Fashioned. Guest can follow along if they had one of Host’s cocktail kits delivered to their home. The mixologist will provide some information about the cocktail they’re making, and help to get a fun conversation going with the guests. Once the drink is ready, guests can try it out and enjoy the rest of the hour catching up with their friends or coworkers.
How do I host a virtual cocktail party?
Hosting a virtual cocktail party or happy hour should be easy and fun! All you need to do is pick a date and time, choose a video platform such as Zoom, decide which cocktail to make, and send invites to your guest list. Keep in mind that some of your guests may not have all the tools and ingredients needed to make your chosen cocktail so be sure to give them enough time, and a shopping list, to acquire those items prior to the event. Be mindful that not everyone may be big cocktail drinkers so include a range of liquors that are affordable alternatives to the ideal brand, as well as some non-alcoholic mocktail alternatives.
